We have an immediate vacancy, in Dubai, for a suitably experienced and professionally qualified Senior Quantity Surveyor to supplement the commercial section of a multi-disciplinary 25 person Client Representative team. The project is a premium business park of over 500,000 sq.m of built up area entering the schematic design stage. The project includes two hotels, 36 storey office tower and 8 mid-rise office towers. The construction stages are planned to commence 1st quarter 2009 and continue to the end of December 2011.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining a multi-party partnering contract team and will be involved in collaborative working practices in relationship with the various Parties on the Project who are Lead Designer/Architect; Cost Consultants; Constructor and the Client.

The role will require assisting with the development and implementation of the various strategies and practices for dealing with contractual and commercial risks in procurement; the review and agreement of cost estimating work; works package pricing; review and reporting on business cases. Close liaison and interfacing will be required to maintain the agreed principle of designing to cost.  

Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a professional attitude, experience of successful team working and exhibit management experience or qualities that indicate a potential for management.
